I have been a member of Lakeview Baptist Church for 30 years, and a deacon for 14 years.

I spent many years of my life knowing a lot about Jesus but not knowing Him personally; years attempting to fill a void with worldly things and having only temporary success. Later in life, I came to the realization that only God could fill that void, permanently and perfectly, and I surrendered my life to Him.

I pray continually for discernment and God is always faithful to reveal His truth in all situations. His amazing love is shown by His opening of doors to challenges that are always for His glory, and His closing of doors for my safety, both spiritually and physically.

Philippians 4:6-7 states, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;  and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

This verse gives me hope in life’s challenges and encounters, by giving me the ability through His word, His promises and His truth, to remain calm in all situations, where I can trust Him for strength to move on, knowing it is all for His glory.
