Three Fates of Faith

August 18, 20243 – In this passage, John 16:1-15, Jesus continues His farewell discourse preparing His disciples for the trials and tribulations that lie ahead. He discusses the pending trials and temptations that the eleven remaining disciples will go through as they were walking. Jesus outlines the three distinct “fates” that their faith will encounter:
• persecution is predictable
• promises and power of the Holy Spirit
• preparation for the Future
