Pastor Bob’s Blog (Page 3)

Why? That was the answer to a statement I made concerning me writing a Pastor’s Blog for Lakeview Baptist Church. I must admit, that caught me by surprise.
The answer to his three-letter question will take some time to answer.
First, we live in the 21st century and everything is going digital if it hasn’t already done so. I own a wrist watch that allows me to make and answer calls. It just makes sense to throw a ā€œhookā€ into the digital waters.
Second, a blog (binary log) gives me another avenue to complete the ā€œGreat Commission.ā€ We are to ā€œpreach and teach.ā€ A blog gives me a chance to craft a simple, single Bible study, meditation or encouragement to the digital world.
Third, I can share my thoughts about the Scriptures, doctrine or the Christian life in short essays.
Pastor Crowder will be doing most of the writing, however, other members, deacons or teachers may make cameos.
Mostly, this blog will be fairly random, covering a wide array of topics. HOWEVER, I will not discuss politics.
Topics like; doctrine, parenting, prayer, pastoring, bible study helps and current cultural issues.
This blog is devoted to learning.
