L.I.F.E. @ LBC is a vital part of life at Lakeview. Here at Lakeview, we believe that small group Bible study really is the church, organized. In Bible Study, you will connect with others in a small group atmosphere, be discipled in your personal walk with the Lord, learn about needs within the church, support fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who are in need, and pray intimately for your church family.
At Lakeview, we offer many adult Bible Study classes, organized in a manner that is consistent with different stages of life. Whether you are a young adult with small children or a widowed senior citizen we have a Bible Study class for you.
What happens when ordinary people come face to face with Jesus Christ? In this six-week LIFE @ LBC study, we will walk through six remarkable encounters with Jesus: Nicodemus, the Samaritan woman, the man born blind, Martha, Zacchaeus, and the two travelers on the road to Emmaus. Each encounter unfolds differently, but each reveals something important about who Jesus is. Together, we will open the Scriptures, enter these conversations, and discover the Christ they met: the giver of new life, the source of living water, the Light of the world, the resurrection and the life, the Savior who seeks the lost, and the risen Lord revealed in the Scriptures.
What does it look like to lead as Jesus leads? In this twelve-week study of Psalm 23 and John 10, participants will explore the timeless picture of the Good Shepherd and what it means to lead others at home, at work, and in the church with the same heart Christ has shown us.
Each week pairs Scripture study with practical application as the class moves through three stages: laying a foundation for who we are as shepherds under the Chief Shepherd, being formed in character and conviction, and learning to multiply that leadership in the lives of others.
Whether leading a family, team, classroom, or ministry, participants will be challenged to move beyond simply directing others and instead lead as shepherds who are present, sacrificial, and attentive to those entrusted to their care.
One of the foundational classes offered is Experiencing God and Doing the Will of God. This twelve-week journey leads participants to a deeper understanding of the intimate relationship God desires to have with His children. Beginning with the truth that God is always at work around us, the study emphasizes that God invites us to join Him in accomplishing His purposes, not striving for Him, but walking with Him. Far more than an academic study, Experiencing God challenges and inspires participants toward a more intimate and purposeful life with Christ.
This foundational class examines the core doctrines of the Christian faith, focusing on what we believe, why we believe it, and how these truths shape our lives and ministries. Through Scripture, participants will explore God’s design for life, the role of work, family, and relationships, the call to integrity, and the purpose of life and morality. The class offers a deeper understanding of biblical foundations and practical ways to live them out in daily life, within the church, and in every relationship.
This training class is designed for those who desire to help another believer grow in their walk with Christ. It provides a biblical foundation and practical approach to walking alongside others through one-on-one disciple-making relationships, whether within the family, the church, or through God-given opportunities in everyday life.
Following the conclusion of this five-week training, Agape Evangelism Training will be offered, centered on sharing the gospel in everyday settings.
This class will equip participants with seven Scripture verses that can be used to share the simple gospel story on a napkin, lunch sack, or whatever may be available. The course prepares believers to share Jesus with anyone, anywhere, at any time. It is designed both for those receiving evangelism training for the first time and for those seeking a refresher in sharing the simple and beautiful message of the gospel.
Lakeview Men: Through Paul’s letter to Titus, this study will examine ten biblical pillars of godly manhood, leadership, and personal integrity. Participants will be challenged to anchor their identity in Christ, hold firmly to sound doctrine, and allow biblical truth to shape their character, responsibilities, relationships, and service.
