We are called by the Great Commission to bring the Gospel to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the Ends of the Earth. With this in mind, the Missions Team has sought to find Missionaries/Ministries to support in each of these areas. East-West operates in more than 50 countries that encompass 10 major world regions – the ends of the Earth. In each location, they are planting churches by mobilizing local believers, sharing the gospel, training and equipping local leaders and building healthy churches. Most recently we were honored to have Billy Carruth, one of their missionaries in Africa ,visit LBC.
This mission has been well established for 80 years and uses a Global Network to bring God’s Word to the over 6000 People groups who do not currently have access to scripture in their own language.
Ethnos360 is working with the over 6000 people groups around the world that have no church and no one working to establish a church. Missionaries work to learn the culture and language of a people group in order to be understood, present the gospel and plant a church. They translate scripture, present foundational Bible teaching (God’s character and the plan of redemption), and plant churches. The goal is to have established churches with indigenous leaders solidly in place and the church reproduce itself. Ethnos360 believes the call to missions is not just a call to begin — it’s a call to persevere and to finish.
Arctic Barnabas is an organization dedicated to advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the remote regions of Alaska, by providing much needed support and encouragement to Pastors and Missionaries.
Arctic Barnabas helps ministry families acquire the proper tools and supplies to endure the Arctic. This is done by delivery of supplies, work teams to winterize homes, repair equipment and more. Other services include emergency care, pulpit supply, small engine and vehicle repair, as well as buy and ship supplies to bush locations.
Arctic Barnabas Ministries provides training and support for Pastors in the remote setting of the Arctic. The remote locations and the ancient culture of the people pose unique challenges.
Eight Days of Hope serves communities across the United States that have been struck by natural disaster, to respond to emergent needs, rebuild structures, and restore hope. Caleb Neyland and his family is one of their missionaries that we also support. Missionaries in this organization must raise their own funds to support their family and work.
This ministry has organized thousands of volunteers to help communities rebuild after a natural disaster. They help to not only rebuild structures, but to rebuild hope.
The goal of the team is to respond within 48 hours after a disaester. They have two types of responses. The first brings hundreds of volunteers to large disaster areas to clean debris, tarp roofs, gut water-damaged homes, and salvage personal property for up to 14 days. The second brings skilled heavy equipment operators and tree cutters to smaller disasters to help with tree removal and debris clean-up for up to 8 days.
This ministry also provides up to 8000 meals for eight days to a community after a natural disaster.
J.A.I.L. Ministry is a nonprofit jail ministry based in Belton, TX. They have taken a special interest in the criminal justice system and conduct 45 Bible studies in the jail each week.
J.A.I.L ministry uses radio and video technology to reach inmates by streaming Bible studies 24 hours a day/seven days a week. The provide tablets in inmates so they can access these programs. Prayer, church services, recovery programs and volunteer visits are also provided.
This ministry provides a food pantry, financial assistance and educational events for Belton citizens in need.
The amount and type of food varies depending on availability. A combination of produce, bread, meat, dairy, non-perishable groceries, personal hygiene products, and household items (like laundry detergent or dish soap) are provided to those in need.
There is a shopping cart in the hallway that LBC members can use to provide donations to the pantry.
Feed My Sheep is a Christ-centered, volunteer-driven, nonprofit organization formed to feed those who are hungry- physically, spiritually and emotionally. In addition to regular monetary support, many members of the LBC family volunteer their time and gifts to this ministry.
The Café’s mission is to ensure that those in need have access to free, nutritious meals in a safe and clean environment. Theye serve lunch 7 days a week, a hot breakfast on Saturdays, and coffee and donuts for breakfast the other 6 days a week. They are currently serving meals to about 150 to 175 people per day.
Feed My Sheep also provides Bible Study, assistance to women who are survivors of domestic abuse, showers, haircuts, assistance navigating programs for financial assistance and many other.
The Hope Pregnancy Centers in Temple, Killeen and Copperas Cove provide support and services to women and men during and after pregnancy.
Services provided include: free pregnancy tests, free ultrasounds, parenting information and classes, information for those contemplating abortion, post abortion support, and adoption information.
In addition to our regular monetary support, LBC participates in Bottles of Hope event to give our members and opportunity to give to this organization. We also have a baby bed in the foyer, and donations placed in the bed are delivered to the local offices for distribution to families in need.
Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) is a U.S.-based conservative Christian legal advocacy organization dedicated to protecting religious freedom, free speech, the sanctity of life, marriage and family, and parental rights.
This organization is heavily involved in influencing US laws and policies to protect religious freedom, sanctity of life, marriage and family, parental rights and freedom of speech.
This is a new organization the church will be supporting in 2027. There are approximately 7,400 and approximately 541 of these do not have aa Bible translation.
We are blessed to live in a country where Bibles are easily available, but this is not the case in many areas of the world. Wycliff partners with locals to develop alphabets and literacy services for preliterate areas, translate the Bible into a form that can be used (either written or oral), work with local churches to provide accuracy of translation, and use technology to assist with translation.
LBC sponsors individual missionaries in Mexico.
The missionary families works with local churches to plant churches and support ministries in the area.
