There is No Other

Chapter 8: There Is No Other is the eighth message in Dr. Robert C. Crowder’s The Gospel According to Isaiah series, presenting a divine courtroom scene where the idols of the nations are summoned to testify, yet remain silent. Preaching from Isaiah 41:21–29, Dr. Crowder unpacks God’s challenge to false gods: Can they declare the past? Predict the future? Do anything of lasting power or meaning? The answer is a resounding no. This sermon contrasts the emptiness of man-made religion with the omniscience and righteousness of the one true God. Dr. Crowder emphasizes that only the Lord declares the end from the beginning, only He acts with sovereign authority, and only He is worthy of our trust and worship. In a culture flooded with voices vying for allegiance, this message calls the Church to clarity and conviction: to reject every rival and to stand firm in the truth that there is no other God beside Jehovah. When idols fall silent, the voice of God still speaks.
