COVID-19 & LBC – Update (March 17, 2020)

The leadership @ Lakeview Baptist Church continues to closely monitor the progress of the respiratory disease caused by a new virus, first detected in China as “SARS-CoV-2” and the disease it causes as “coronavirus disease 2019.” We are being good “neighbors” and following the recommendations of Bell County, Texas and the United States CDC groups. We have sought ways to continue our ministries and worship activities in new ways. With all the new buzzwords like, COVID-19, coronavirus and social distancing, our world has changed dramatically in the last 60 days.

The CDC and President Trump are asking for businesses, churches and industries, to self-govern their policies and not to hold gatherings larger than 10 people. We will be good citizens and honor their request.

Therefore, Lakeview Baptist Church is responding to the current crisis by cancelling, or implementing by virtual means, all events and meetings through March 25th when the staff, Deacon Fellowship and Church Life Council, will convene and review the progress of the disease in Bell County.

Please check our web site, lbcbelton.org, for updates. Our prayer is that the situation will be clearer by the end of March.

Pastor Bob will present a sermon titled, “Signs of the End of the World” this Sunday at 11:20 AM. You can watch it live on “https://www.facebook.com/lbcbelton/ and later that day on our website: lbcbelton.org.

Please contact LBC if there are ways, we can be of help to you in these trying times.
