What is Missions?
Missions in simply evangelism across some sort of barrier. That barrier can be geographic, social status, race, language or anything. Missions is carrying out the Great Commission that Jesus set for us in Matthew 28:18-20.
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.‘.”
In the church, mission activities are often associated with community service, giving or helps as a means to reach across the existing barrier to give the Good News of the Gospel and watch the Good News transform lives.
